MTA’s Red Line Transit Project


The Red Line is a proposed 14-mile east-west transit line connecting the areas of Woodlawn, Edmondson Village, West Baltimore, downtown Baltimore, Inner Harbor East, Fells Point, Canton and the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center Campus. This route is the Locally Preferred Alternative for the proposed Red Line and that the project is in development.



The Central Maryland Transportation Alliance (CMTA)


A key partner to MTA's Red Line project, CMTA is dedicated to improving travel efficiency in central Maryland and advocates for comprehensive and innovative transportation planning, as well as short and long term strategies for improving transportation.
